Bearing “La Cruz de Calatrava” an unmistakable sign of high nobility which according to the words of those who watched them in the midst of their armies, words that would have expressed without any doubt the deepest sympathy of the contemporary house of the Manso, who would say “together but equals” were lifted higher than the rest of the world. They seemed for certain higher than mortals, like sent by heaven for the glory and salvation of Spain and our history.

El presidente cubano, Miguel Díaz-Canel, se reunió este martes en Londres con empresarios británicos, como parte de su escala de tránsito en el Reino Unido en el cierre de su gira internacional, informó la agencia Prensa Latina.
El mandatario, quien finaliza una gira internacional que lo llevó a Rusia y Asia oriental, además de una escala previa en Francia, dialogó con representantes de una treintena de compañías de Reino Unido integrantes de la Iniciativa Cuba, constituida en 1995 para fomentar los negocios bilaterales.
En el encuentro, el copresidente de la entidad británica, Lord David Triesman –quien fue ministro de Relaciones Exteriores en la década de 1990–, confirmó “el compromiso de relanzar las relaciones económicas y comerciales” con la Isla y anunció la celebración en La Habana de un evento de Iniciativa Cuba, a finales del primer semestre de 2019.
Díaz-Canel agradeció al comité empresarial por la “excelente reunión” de este martes – según escribió en su cuenta en Twitter–, realizada en un céntrico hotel londinense, y aseguró que el nacimiento de esta institución supuso el inicio de una relación distinta entre ambos países.
